Emma Roberts is taking a trip down memory lane.
The American Horror Story actress shared an adorable photo of 3-year-old son Rhodes, whom she coparents with ex Garrett Hedlund. And there's a very special reason why Emma loves it so much.
"This was my son's first school photo," she said while showing off her keychain during a video interview with Vogue published July 16. "This photo just absolutely killed me, ‘cause he never smiles for me. And picture day he was really into."
And the 33-year-old couldn't help but gush, adding, "This brightens my day every time I see it."
Emma also shared that Rhodes currently cannot leave the house with his stuffed animal, affectionally named Honey Bear.
"I noticed that after having a kid, you buy them all this really amazing, special, unique stuff," the Scream Queens actress explained, "and then they whatever they get attached to is always so random."
Emma also joked that they've gone through four different versions of Honey Bear, as the toy did get once get thrown into the river.
"We were throwing rocks into the river and he threw Honey Bear into the river," she recalled. "So I panicked and was then very grateful that I could order Honey Bear for overnight shipping."
And of course, Emma is dealing with the realities of life as a toddler boy mom, saying that while she wishes she could bring him everywhere with her, "unfortunately my son will not sit still 'cause he's a 3-year-old boy and is faster than me and I cannot keep up with him."
"But I would bring him everywhere if I could," she added, "if he would stop running away from me."
Lucky for Emma, she'll soon have more help running after her son as she recently confirmed her engagement to Cody John. CPosting a photo showing off her ring to Instagram July 16, Emma cheekily referenced the time her mom revealed her pregnancy online, writing, "putting this here before my mom tells everyone."
And when it comes to the newly engaged couple's dynamic?
"Emma loves Cody's personality," a source previously told E! News of the couple. "He's really funny and they have been having a good time together."
